In Town

* Hotel International: Swahili style building with large rooms in the heart of Stonetown near the local market.
* Baghani House hotel: Very nice small hotel, nicely decorated
* Chavda hotel: Nice builing with a rooftop bar and restaurant, with the best view.
Top
* Tembo House Hotel: A beachfront hotel, comfortable, nicely decorated and right in the middle of the tourism buzz, with swimming pool.
* Dhow Palace hotel: This hotel is nicely decorated and hs a rooftop restaurant for breakfast and a swimming pool.

* Passing Show Restaurant: The best local restaurant in town, where you can get typical
Zanzibari Dishes
* Mercury’s Restaurant: A nice restaurant on the seashore with life music on Wednesdays and
Saturdays, They serve western food such as steak and pizza, seafood dishes and Zanzibari
cuisine.
* Kidude restaurant: Nicely decorated restaurant with an excellent kitchen
* Forodhani gardens: The place to go for local food, fresh seafood and the Zanzibari Pizza.
* Seaview: A nice place to relax in the shade and drink tea, coffee or fresh fruit juice.
* Monsoon restaurant: Swahili style restaurant where you dine on the floor on cushions.
* Archipellago restaurant: On the Seashore, a nice selection of swahili dishes
* Radha Food house: An Indian vegetarian restaurant
* Sweet Eazy Restaurant,Bar: One of the best restaurants in Zanzibar, serving Swahili and Thai dishes, live music on teusdays and fridays.
* Amore Mio Ice creams: On the seashore, a nice place to relax and eat Italian Icecream.
* E.T.C. Plaza restaurant: Rooftop restaurant with a very nice Zanibari – western menu
* La Fenice italian restaurant
* Africa House hotel, bar, restaurant: A nice place to watch the sunset, eat local and western food and there is live music on thursdays.
* Mtoni Marine: A restaurant just out of town on the beach with an excellent cuisine!
Beach Hotels
Eastcoast*Jambiani: Kimte, a small, friendly guesthouse on the beach of the village of Jambiani. The guesthouse has a warm and relaxed atmosphere, giving you the feeling that you are among friends.Budget
*Paje: Kinazi Upepo, affordable, good food, beautiful beach
*Bwejuu: Mustapha's Place, a chilled out, low budget hotel with palm-thatched bandas, friendly people and good music.
North East Coast:
*Matemwe: Nyota Hotel, a small and beautiful guesthouse located near the quiet village of Matemwe, set on an idyllic 5 km long white-sand palm fringed beach
West Coast
* Hakuna Matata, Located on the westcoast just 12 km north of Stone Town with comfortable seaview cottages set in a beautiful garden with a ruin and a private bay with a white sandy beach.
*Mbweni: Mbweni Ruins, a truly beautiful place, set in botanic gardens by the ocean, the hotel is 10 minutes from Stone Town or from the Airport and the food is great!
